Fuel card payment

Acceptance of international fuel cards (e.g. UTA, DKV, etc) is a significant asset and a competitive advantage of fuel stations. These cards are usually based on magnetic stripe technology and PIN off-line verification.

Until recently, these cards were accepted in majority of sale points (fuel stations) in imprinter technology. Nowadays, in order to increase security and to limit the time of transactions – there is a strong tendency to accept the cards and account the transactions in the electronic form.

Since the majority of fuel stations use a payment terminal, its functionality may be naturally increased by acceptance of fuel cards. In such a case the authorization involves PIN electronic, off-line verification.

PROCARD elaborated and implemented terminal applications to handle transactions made by fuel cards for a few Verifone terminal platforms.
